Anthem Dmg Vs Combo Dmg
Looking for a strong, simple Anthem Ranger build to get the most out of this jack-of-all-trades Javelin? The Ranger’s strongest asset is its combo bonus, which deals additional damage to single targets, making this the best Javelin for taking down bosses and well-armoured targets like turrets, especially if you can land all of that damage on a weak spot.
Physical damage transcends items. You can identify physical damage because it will have a grey diamond symbol. Blast damage, weapon damage, some gear abilities, and (I think) certain melee. Your gear causes Elemental Effects in Anthem, and come in the form of Fire, Ice, Electric, and Acid. They should not be confused with primers and detonators that are part of the combo system, as. Combo’s occur when a detonator ability is applied to a mob to which a primer ability has been used AND the primer ability was able to take effect. Each element has a different effect when the primer is applied and sticks, namely: - Fire: Damage over Time (DoT), strong vs Armor and Physical Shields.
As the Ranger, you’ll struggle against crowds of ads, but excel against tough targets, making this the most difficult of all the Anthem Javelins to play solo. We’d recommend bringing a weapon like an assault rifle or grenade launcher that can help out with crowd control when you’re not landing critical hits on tougher enemies.
To assist you at the start of your Freelancer career we’ve assembled a couple of quick and easy Anthem Ranger builds for you to experiment with and start dishing out high damage combos. Bear in mind these are not complete builds with every Component and weapon carefully thought out, just basic combos you may not have considered that will give you an edge in boss fights and teach you the fundamentals of the Ranger.
We’ve also set these up primarily as self-combos, so you won’t have to rely on your teammates to start handing out hefty combo damage. Enough with the flimflammery, here are some Anthem Ranger builds to get you started.
High damage Anthem Ranger build
- Primer: Frost Grenade
- Detonator: Pulse Blast
- Support: Muster Point/Bulwark Point
- Weapon 1: Divine Vengeance
- Weapon 2: Glorious Result
The Pulse Blast ability is very underrated, but is actually one of the best damage-dealing abilities in Anthem. Why? Unlike some of Ranger’s flashier abilities like the Seeker Missile and Blast Missile, the Pulse Blast can be aimed properly, allowing you to target weak points and land critical hits. Stack that with the combo damage and Ranger’s combo bonus that deals extra damage against single targets and you’ll be dealing a few thousand damage with every shot.
Get crafty: Here’s how the Anthem Forge works
Naturally, weak points are tricky to target, which is where the Frost Grenade comes into its own, freezing enemies in place while also priming them for the Pulse Blast detonator. Grenades are also AoE primers, allowing you to then select a single target in a crowd if you’re up against multiple enemies.
The Pulse Blast also recharges very quickly, making it a viable when fighting a lot of enemies at once. This is a low-level build, but one that effectively unlocks the Ranger’s combo bonus and gets you thinking about how best to stack damage bonuses.
When it comes to your Support Gear, it’s really up to you whether you run the damage-buffing Muster Point or the defensive Bulwark Point. If there’s a really tough enemy with an exposed weak point then the Muster Point will help you and your team amplify their damage output, whereas Bulwark Point is a reliable way of assisting your team while you jet off to land crits.
Devastator Anthem Ranger build
- Primer: Venom Darts
- Detonator: Sticky Grenade
- Support: Muster Point
- Weapon 1: Devastator
- Weapon 2: Retaliation of Garretus
This Ranger build is all about the Devastator, a sniper rifle capable of dealing exceptionally high damage on its own, and even more damage when the enemy has been appropriately debuffed.
The way to do that is through the Venom Darts ability that primes targets and applies an acid elemental effect. The acid elemental effect means enemies take more damage, so when you hit them with the Devastator you’ll be dealing a lot of damage per shot.

As the enemy is already primed, you can also detonate them with the Sticky Grenade, which deals the most single-target damage of all the grenades. Pop down a Muster Point before triggering all of this and the damage multipliers will net you thousands of points of damage per hit.
As Arekkz points out in his guide to the build, you can stack Muster Points together for absurd damage multipliers, and even cap it all off with one of the Interceptor’s Target Beacons if you’re chasing a one-hit kill.
File extension dmg microsoft. Nov 18, 2019 Again, just because you can extract a DMG file in Windows, or even convert a DMG to a Windows-readable format, doesn't always mean that the contents of the DMG file will suddenly become compatible with Windows. The only way to use a Mac program or a Mac video game in Windows is to download the Windows-equivalent version.
This build is highly adaptable for dealing with groups of enemies as the Venom Darts will still do an excellent job of priming and debuffing ads. Bring a secondary weapon like an assault rifle along to mow down these mobs, then detonate any stragglers with a grenade.
Melee Anthem Ranger build
- Primer: Melee
- Detonators: Seeking Missile and Frag Grenade
- Support: Bulwark Point
- Weapon 1: Vassa’s Surprise
- Weapon 2: Papa Pump
This is a very simple Ranger build that’s surprisingly effective. All your priming is done through melee strikes, while you can switch between the Seeking Missile for high single-target damage combo, or the Frag Grenade to clean up groups of primed ads.
As you’ll spend so much time battling enemies with your melee strikes it’s good to have the Bulwark Point as you support gear should you need to retreat in a hurry. But for the most part this Ranger build is all about rushing in, priming an enemy then taking a step back to detonate them. As you have two detonators it’s easy to deal a constant stream of damage through combos.
Intercepted: Here’s an Anthem Interceptor build to get you started
You can flesh this build out with Mastercraft weapons like Artinia’s Gambit, which deals explosive damage whenever you reload, which makes it possible to constantly chain combos in close-quarters. If you need help grinding towards Mastercraft weapons then check out our Anthem leveling guide. Otherwise, a sniper is also very helpful with this build so that you’re not totally useless in situations where you can’t afford to be in the thick of battle.
Anthem Colossus builds come in one shape and size: big and chunky. But, while BioWare’s tank mech is not as agile as the other Anthem Javelins, its many layers of thick-set armour mean that it can hold its own even amid the most devastating of enemy gunfire. But, to best weather the aggro, you’re going to need to effectively optimise your Anthem Colossus build.
That said, the Colossus isn’t just about its defensive capabilities. This beast can equip every type of heavy weapon to ensure you can blow everything away with extremely high damage to make up for your relative lack of mobility. It’s the Colossus’ potent mix of high damage and resolute armour that makes this battle suit such an important asset to your team.
Of course, this is the only the beginning of what Colossus can do. As you develop your tank character towards Anthem’s endgame, the sheer range of possibilities at your disposal to help you take on the game’s toughest tasks will become clear. For instance, you could set up your Colossus to prime and detonate combos to maximise damage without relying on your team. Note: these builds are not complete, but we will be updating them once we have had more time with the full game. However, this guide will introduce to you the different options you could pursue to help you find the Anthem Colossus build to fit your playstyle.
Here are the best Anthem Colossus builds:
Combo Anthem Colossus build
- Ordnance Launcher: Lightning Coil
- Heavy Assault Launcher: Flamethrower
- Component: Overclocked Regulator
- Weapon 1: Endless Siege
- Weapon 2: Sentinel’s Vengeance
Anthem combos allow your team to deal significant damage, but to pull them off you need a primer and a detonator. However, if you’re playing solo – or just greedy – you can optimise your Anthem Colossus build to perform both parts necessary to execute a combo. This works especially well with the Colossus: if you successfully execute a combo with it, you’ll trigger an AoE explosion. Our favourite means of doing so is by merging the power of Lightning Coil and Flamethrower. This is an effective gear synergy first noticed by Arekkz Gaming, so all credit to him for that.
The Flamethrower is a heavy assault launcher that does pretty much what it says on the tin, and it primes targets by igniting them. It’s a great way of cutting through weaker mobs and laying waste to shields on more powerful foes.

The Lightning Coil, however, is an ordnance launcher that unleash electrical AoE damage. It is one of the few launchers that can be used with your Colossus’ shield up, and it’s not to be confused with the Shock Coil, which is a primer. Crucially, the Lightning Coil is a detonator that completes a combo on your nicely-singed enemies. If you like this weapon, look out for the blistering Masterwork variant, Vassa’s Arc, which sets off electrical explosions following multiple hits.
So, what better way to complete this Colossus combo build than by boosting these specific elemental powers? Thankfully the Overclocked Regulator component does just that as it increases lightning and fire damage by 35% of base damage. Equally, once you’ve unlocked more component slots, you can bolster this build with the Colossus Combo Augment component: this increases combo damage by 50%. Plus, the Masterwork version, Catalytic Overdrive, increases ability damage by 40% for 20 seconds post-combo detonation.
Damage Anthem Colossus build
- Ordnance launcher: High Explosive Mortar
- Heavy assault launcher: Railgun
- Component: Synchronized Frame
- Weapon 1: Papa Pump
- Weapon 2: Ralner’s Blaze
When it comes to a high damage Colossus build in Anthem, it really depends on whether you want to focus on clearing trash mobs or single, more powerful targets. This build is for the latter and it best helps you to face down enemies with yellow health bars while the rest of your team can focus on the little guys.
For this reason, the Railgun is an excellent bet. This charged heavy assault launcher deals huge impact damage when trained on a single target, and it’s also a detonator. The High Explosive Mortar is an ordnance launcher that also functions as a detonator, making this a potent combination.
As you progress towards endgame, be on the lookout for the following masterwork components. Chief among these is the Synchronized Frame which, when it’s used to defeat an enemy your ability damage is buffed by a massive 60% for five seconds. Whereas Stalwart’s Badge is a handy component when you’re in a pinch: if you suffer a shield break, this bit of gear activates to imbue you with an additional 40% of damage for five seconds.
Support Anthem Colossus build
- Heavy Assault Launcher: Best Defense
- Ordnance Launcher: Voltaic Dome
- Component: Structural Reinforcement
- Support: Battle Cry
- Weapon 1: Sentinel’s Vengeance
- Weapon 2: Balm of Gavinicus
This support build will make your Colossus invaluable to any team. But, while Shield Pulse – which reduces damage to nearby teammates by 33% – is handy, we’re going for Battle Cry in this case. This emphasises Colossus’ tank potential by attracting enemy aggro away from your team to your mech, so be prepared for some punishment.
That means we need to buff your defensive stats. For that the component Structural Reinforcement is your best bet as it heavily reinforces your armour and shields. With this backing you, you’ll have much more joy charging into the front lines with your shield up. Also, the masterwork upgrade, Ablative Shielding, increases damage resistance for five seconds after a shield break, to help you fight your way out of trouble.

Enter Interceptor: Check out this Anthem Interceptor build
The remainder of this support Colossus build highlighted above is made up of two masterwork items. However, they are such an excellent combination in any build so we highly recommend looking out for them. First, there’s the Voltaic Dome, the rarer version of the Shock Coil ordnance launcher. The reason why this is a great support weapon is, despite its relatively disappointing damage for an exotic boomstick, it freezes enemies to the spot. This both primes targets and prevents them from attacking your team for a spell.

The other piece of masterwork gear is Best Defense, the upgraded variant of the Siege Artillery heavy assault launcher. While the more common version merely boasts explosive combo capabilities, Best Defense replenishes 35% of your armour with a direct hit to help you protect your teammates for longer.
