Hi all, Anyone know how/if I can use the above script to mount and then unmount physical firewire drives? I have a couple of external disks: one holds all my photos, mp3s, movies, audio etc, the other is the backup drive to which Backup 2 rights to when backing up my system. When you're logged in to your Mac using an administrator account, you can use the sudo command in the Terminal app to execute commands as a different user, such as the root user. After you enter the command, Terminal asks you to enter your account password. If you forgot your password or your account doesn't have a password, add or change your password in Users & Groups preferences. You can then execute sudo commands in Terminal.
Terminal doesn't show the password as you type. If you enter the wrong password or a blank password, the command isn't executed and Terminal asks you to try again.
This project allows ordinary users to directly mount OS X disk images under Linux via FUSE. darling-dmg is part of Darling - http://www.darlinghq.org

Supported file types
- DMG (UDIF) files containing an Apple Disk Image.
- Apple Disk Images containing an HFS+/HFSX file system.
- HFS+/HFSX file systems (incl. file systems embedded within HFS).
This means, darling-dmg can mount DMG files or unpacked DMG files or a single partition carved out of the latter.
