- Draven is one of the hardest champions to play in League of Legends. This is because Draven drives on catching his axes for dealing the maximum amount of damage. It is neccesary to know how this mechanic works, so let's get started with that.
Draven's spinning axes drop on places of the map after hitting an enemy. The good thing is that it is not a random position, but you can decide yourself where you want it to drop. Let me explain that. Whenever the spinning axe HITS the target, it will return to the position you are currently walking to. So, it's not going to the position you're walking after throwing the axe, but it is going to the position you're walking once it HITS the target. This is important to know since a lot of people do it wrong, making it very unpredictable where the axes land.
You have to train this mechanic versus bots and make sure it feels natural before going up against real enemies.
Once you know how to catch your axes properly you can go over to the next part: How to play draven.
Draven does by far the most damage of any AD carry if you catch all the axes. Now this can become hard as the enemy throws croud controll skillshots to you. Therefore, if you can't dodge skillshots yet, please watch my previous video about dodging skillshots. It's absolutely essential when playing draven, because else you wouldn't be able to catch your axes.
With draven you have to play extremely aggressive. Best is to have an aggressive support with you who can do the same. Whenever you see an opportunity to attack him, do it. Don't stop attacking him until he's too far away. He will never be able to out-trade you with damage. Stand in front of your minions and 'zone' them away from your minions. Try to farm and let your support take care of making opportunities. If they come in attack range, go all-in on them. Awesome huh? Playing Draven? haha.
It's best to have 2 spinning axes up at all times. This will ensure you to have maximum damage potential, even if you drop one of the axes.
Let's go over to the other skills of Draven. His W skill gives you more movement speed and attack speed. This is great when going all-in and when you're chasing someone. It is also a great tool if you want to dodge skillshots. More movement speed makes it way easier for you to dodge skillshots. More on that in my previous video.
His E skill is very useful when you are trying to kill your enemy. It knocks them aside and stuns them for a brief second, giving you that extra hit. It also frees some space for your support, since you knock everything aside, even minions. If you make good use of this, a blitzcrank can get a free hook.
His ultimate is used to either snipe people that are to far away to hit, or to engage a fight. Using your ultimate on multiple targets is the best initiate of a teamfight. It deals a bunch of damage if it hits twice (forward and backwards). So therefore: Place your ultimate wisely, this might need some practice.
Now that you know how to play Draven, go out and try it out! I hope I have given enough information on how to play Draven. It's one of my favourite characters since you can play insanely aggressive.

Spinning Axe : Draven's next attack will deal bonus damage. This axe will ricochet off the target high up into the air. If Draven catches it, he automatically readies another Spinning Axe. Draven can have two Spinning Axes at once.
Blood Rush : Draven gains increased Movement Speed and Attack Speed. The Movement Speed bonus decreases rapidly over its duration. Catching a Spinning Axe will refresh the cooldown of Blood Rush.
Stand Aside : Draven throws his axes, dealing physical damage to targets hit and knocking them aside. Targets hit are slowed.
Whirling Death: Draven hurls two massive axes to deal physical damage to each unit struck. Whirling Death slowly reverses direction and returns to Draven after striking an enemy champion. Draven may also activate this ability while the axe is in the flight to cause it to return early. Deals less damage for each unit it hits and resets when the axes reverse direction.
