So, this is personal preference of course, but the more spell power you have the more powerful your heals are.
Now, coming from 4 man content, you may think your BoL is more than powerful enough. Well, you rarely will use BoL in a vet trial other than to heal stupid dps who decide they are special snowflakes who don't stack in group! You will be using Healing Springs and combat prayer, which are comparatively weaker. The stronger you make your heals, the better.
I personally run with about 2k magicka regen, which might actually be a bit high as I never ever run out of magicka while using spell power potions (remember to use these).
Almost all end-game players drop regen to maximise their stats because potions are always more than enough. In addition, the current meta is pretty much any vet trial will have a healer running Worms, so that helps your magicka even more.
You want to balance it to the point where you don't run out of magicka if you have to heal a lot in a short period of time, but don't expect to have magicka to BoL constantly..you shouldn't be using that skill often. Healing Springs is not expensive and gives magicka back when you land it on your allies.
EDIT: In addition, vSO has a mechanic which actually requires you to be able to drain all your magicka quickly so you can't have too much regen for that fight or else its guaranteed death for healer.
