Battle Priests?

Ice/Lightning Mage: It isn't god tier anymore, but is still an earth-shatteringly good mobbing class. Training from level 100-200 on this class is easier than most, and goes into maniac mode past 200. If you like turning an entire map into ice, then this is the class to pick.

  EDIT: To answer your question, though, no, not really. You could just not use your defensive skills, but that doesn't make your offensive skills stronger, it just makes you weaker.

  Depends on what you mean by Battle Priest. The Cleric skills from what I've seen have a good amount of damage and aren't that far behind their main DPS counterparts. Making them a very valuable pick for raw DPS alongside their buffs. If you're in any serious party you'll likely be expected to pull your weight and do damage, since you aren't weak and the difference between a heal bot and a good player should be noticeable.
• I hope not. I don't like it when healers can take on the role of a primary damage dealer.
  Having strong attacks is fine, but not dps out the wazoo.
• From what I've seen while quite a few skills can buff your companions and heal they also damage so you can do both jobs. But overall a Priest is still not as efficient as others. Either way, it is a good balance that you can still manage on your own with the right combinations while also helping out in teams.

  I've heard of 'Battle Priests' being a thing in KMS2 but they're nowhere near as efficient as other builds and classes. If you want high damage, go Berserker. If you want magic damage, go Wizard. If you want to have good heals, build a normal Priest.

• The priest class has a good amount of holy blasts to annihilate the creatures of MapleStory. I like this direction. Priests in too many games are weak cowardly creatures lurking in the background waiting to heal their friends with their pathetic crosses.   Oh well DPS like crazy all you want, just don't forget your primary purpose of healing is all that should be said to answer the question heal bots are good players too but an efficient player can contribute if they were wanting to actually support the team
• I feel that priests are a pretty awesome class. The thing I do like the most about them is how I am able to technically play this class without it being required to find a party due to it being to weak to survive on his/her own which I feel is the case in some games. I think they really got that part right.
