Volumes Os X Install Esd Basesystem Dmg

Have found a solution to do it from Mavericks (Maybe work for earlier os versions) from command line itself. Works perfectly for me & creates a 6 GB ISO for Yosemite. here are the instructions:

Basesystem

hdiutil attach /Applications/Install OS X Yosemite.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg -noverify -nobrowse -mountpoint /Volumes/install_app

Volumes Os X Install Esd Base System Dmg Download

hdiutil convert /Volumes/install_app/BaseSystem.dmg -format UDSP -o /tmp/Yosemite

hdiutil resize -size 10g /tmp/Yosemite.sparseimage

hdiutil attach /tmp/Yosemite.sparseimage -noverify -nobrowse -mountpoint /Volumes/install_build

Open '/Volumes/OS X Install ESD/BaseSystem.dmg' 4. Using Disk Utility, restore the 'Base System' to your MBR-formatted flashdrive. After the restore is complete, you can unmount the 'Base System' from the DMG file and rename your USB to 'Installer' or similar. On your newly-imaged installer, navigate to System/Installation and delete the. BaseSystem.dmg has a volume named 'Mac OS X Base System'. So that's disk0 and disk1; what about the rest? I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure they are RAM disks to save temporary data in folders OS X modifies as it runs (remember that in recovery mode, you're running from a read-only disk image). Oct 08, 2015  Open OS X Install ESD volume in Finder, select Packages folder and copy them to System/Installation folder on USB drive. Also copy BaseSystem.chunklist and BaseSystem.dmg files from InstallESD.dmg volume to root of USB flash drive (OS X Base System). Now your El Capitan installation USB drive is prepared and ready for use.

Esd

Hdiutil detach /Volumes/OS X Base System/ hdiutil detach /Volumes/OS X Install ESD/ And now we need to get it back into that read-only DMG format: hdiutil convert ElCapitan.sparseimage -format UDZO -o ElCapitan.dmg.

rm /Volumes/install_build/System/Installation/Packages
cp -rp /Volumes/install_app/Packages /Volumes/install_build/System/Installation/

hdiutil detach /Volumes/install_app

Install.esd Windows 8

hdiutil detach /Volumes/install_build

hdiutil resize -size hdiutil resize -limits /tmp/Yosemite.sparseimage tail -n 1 awk '{ print $1 }'b /tmp/Yosemite.sparseimage

hdiutil convert /tmp/Yosemite.sparseimage -format UDTO -o /tmp/Yosemite

rm /tmp/Yosemite.sparseimage

I'm executing a bash script that downloads the newest version of docker via cURL:curl -O./Docker.dmgIt works well.I also wish to install it for the user:hdiutil attach Docker.dmgThis prompt the feature on OSX where the user has to 'drag' the program into applications for it to install properly. Is there a way to circumvent this process? How to mount dmg in terminal. By shell scripting, to fully install an application on OSX, and gain rights to run it in the Terminal(Relevant in this case, for Docker), so that the script can access docker run in the Terminal to spin up an instance.
