Oct 01, 2009  The best melee class lvl 80 is hard to say. I can tell u which 3 is the highest on Parses and overall parses. Ok Over all I would say a Swashbuckler, But this is on raids, where u get shit ton of debuffs on targets to rape. 2nd I would say assassins, they have The highest burst dps, and Bleed affects. The priest is a cloth armor class which specializes in a staff with long ranged supportive healing capabilities. Power granted by the blessing of Shakan, Zenobia, Seren, Balder, and Arachne to enhance their powers and great worshippers of Yurian, the God of Justice, as they rely solely on him to aid in combat when healing is needed the most.

I tryed all after lvl 32 on console and realized that the best 2 dps classes right now are the warrior and the slayer, why? Easy,the sorceer and the archer are ranged dps,good for bosses but it is well known that any class is good for bosses but lets talk about normal enemyes while hunting, those two ranged classes needs constant moving, and that is the problem, you move and you end with a train of enemyes who has been picked your attention around your main target, finally the berserker, have a block and aoe dps but is slow as hell, not saying the fail basic attacks for gain MP and the charge skills consume HP. So warrior is good for sustained dps while slayer is good to hit hard. I have a warrior lvl 35 right now and i do not regret it.

Hell, adding into the 'Judging pre 65', you're being carried by Avatar weapons but at 65, you don't have that meaning you see just how Good/Bad some skills are because they have high/low Crit rate. Slayers are forced to build Full crit because most of their skills (Exception to like Measured Slice) have not so great Crit rate (MS usually is around 100% while others are often around 70-80~ish(?) crit rate) and every non crit is a DPS lost
  • Lvling archer is ridiculous easy these days, so much dmg output, no need to waste time running to anything cause of range. If something reach you before you can kill it you doing something wrong. Not that it would make a big difference cause you can stun all mobs infront of you and let them eat your melee traps.
    And yes I have played all classes till 65 a long time ago..

    you somewhat know what you talkin about . . . but you havnt even tested all those classes against each other in an aggro contest with BAMS (being the only way to measure which has better aggro). me and my buddy has gotten every dps class to 65 in +12 slaughter with optimal builds for each dps (accessories included). Also dont even try to say we arent experienced because both of us are from PC with 7 years of experience. We know all the classes to a certain degree (archer is my least favorite class). Currently on console the DPS from HIGHEST to LOWEST is as follows:
    1) Berserker
    2) Slayer (slayer would be #1 if you used MP pots on top of the elite nostrum but that would of ruined our experiment)
    3) Warrior
    4) Archer
    5) Sorcerer
    6) Reaper

    So i am right the 2 best classes in the silver and bronze medal goes to slayer and warrior.
  • Well first.. What's up with the 'dps' healers that wont heal in dungeons. Is anyoneelse noticing this?
    The only class that will out damage an experienced berserker within the same gear tier is a valkyrie. Berserker doesnt come to life until around level 50, but once it does and if you learn it You'll be happy.
    With that being said, I'm not saying warrior is terrible. Pre-vamp warrior (which I think the console version is, can anyone confirm?) Was mid tier dps. With the revamp it pushed warrior to a tie with berserker for second place (valkyrie was out by then for pc). Then it became nit picky between the two classes who did more based on gear rolls and class experience. The amounts were so small it truly didnt matter. A less than 2% difference is a tie in my book.
    And with that, ill be playing my zerk until valkyrie comes out.

    Slayer has and will be low down until they get their propulsion passive like they do on PC. Aggro is a bad way to judge a class cause once you have aggro, your back damage (and back-crit crystals) lines deactive and the other class gets the advantage cause they can back-crit freely
    A good test would perhaps be to have a Tank hold aggro on a boss in a dungeon like Channelworks (2nd would probably be best due to 1st turning and 3rd having NPC help) and time how long it takes to kill to with only that class hitting it (Or set a time limit to see how low they can burn the boss like during an Enrage cycle before resting). Unless you want to go into DFNM (Is that even around?) and smack on Verno for abit
  • Deleted my 65 Brawler and ceated an Archer instead (female High Elf called Sylvanas), level 40 ish atm and I LOVE playing it.
    I was reading a 'proabably not applicable to the current console version' guide and found that a lot of the Archer skills are not used or barely worth slotting, even auto attack.
    Based off this I replaced auto attack on right trigger with rapid fire instead using mostly thunderbolt, radiant arrow, rain of arrows and rapid fire as the main rotation dmage skills with penetrating arrow and fire trap arrow as fillers if they are on CD.
    Throw in some traps and volley while solo'ing and I'm having a LOT of fun with Archer, if Archer had a class pet it would remind me very much of the Hunter in WoW with the traps and thunderbolt being like aimed shot etc.
    Can't wait to buy the fashion coupon bow too, not the red glowing one but the other one that's the largest of the 4 it's huge (looks like a red version of the bow drop from Illidan if you're familier with it), 300/500 coupons but need to level the Archer to 65 before I can farm more.
    How is the current console patch for archers? I read it's bad for warriors which is the melee class I find the most fun.

    Same goes for Sorc, you can't move while charging Arcane pulse because you lack the glyph and you can get heavily CD locked due to the lack of CDR roll on your weapon but at lv65, when you're able to get CDR rolls, the class changes and becomes more powerful and more mobile due to the cooldown on Jaunt/Backstep/Glacial being much slower and being able to move with Arcane pulse. Same goes for Archer
    Never judge a class before 65, it's pointless

    Slayer becomes lower in the DPS tier list (at least in the patch console is) because every other class gets better. Hell, adding into the 'Judging pre 65', you're being carried by Avatar weapons but at 65, you don't have that meaning you see just how Good/Bad some skills are because they have high/low Crit rate. Slayers are forced to build Full crit because most of their skills (Exception to like Measured Slice) have not so great Crit rate (MS usually is around 100% while others are often around 70-80~ish(?) crit rate) and every non crit is a DPS lost

    you somewhat know what you talkin about . . . but you havnt even tested all those classes against each other in an aggro contest with BAMS (being the only way to measure which has better aggro). me and my buddy has gotten every dps class to 65 in +12 slaughter with optimal builds for each dps (accessories included). Also dont even try to say we arent experienced because both of us are from PC with 7 years of experience. We know all the classes to a certain degree (archer is my least favorite class). Currently on console the DPS from HIGHEST to LOWEST is as follows:
    1) Berserker
    2) Slayer (slayer would be #1 if you used MP pots on top of the elite nostrum but that would of ruined our experiment)
    3) Warrior
    4) Archer
    5) Sorcerer
    6) Reaper

    Yeah..but we've already testing classes with DPS meters on PC..cause we have already experienced your patch before soooooooooo
    1) Zerk + Archer
    2) Sorcerer (played right + it was revamp'd so pretty strong for now)
    3) Warrior (cause it's pre-revamp and it's [filtered])
    4)Reaper
    5) Slayer.
    Slayer has and will be low down until they get their propulsion passive like they do on PC. Aggro is a bad way to judge a class cause once you have aggro, your back damage (and back-crit crystals) lines deactive and the other class gets the advantage cause they can back-crit freely
    A good test would perhaps be to have a Tank hold aggro on a boss in a dungeon like Channelworks (2nd would probably be best due to 1st turning and 3rd having NPC help) and time how long it takes to kill to with only that class hitting it (Or set a time limit to see how low they can burn the boss like during an Enrage cycle before resting). Unless you want to go into DFNM (Is that even around?) and smack on Verno for abit
